They let the F430 in the lead this time and you have to beat 1'57.5 to get ahead of it. I actually managed to fight my way through the crowd and ended up 0.14 seconds behind him at the finish line. I wanted to stab him so bad.. I have yet to see a video of anyone beating the newest version. God, the new A-8 is ridiculous. Credits, cars and gold medals all gone! So I'm doing them all again...and just S-10 and the F40 race to get gold again on (have done all the rest quite easily). I'm finding the same thing - my guess is that Polyphony have, via an update, stopped the lineup you see in this video appearing. It does still make quite a difference if you change the lineup though by exiting and going back into this race - depending on the lineup I'm within 1 second of a gold, but on hard lineups I'm as much as 10 seconds off the pace! I've got the UK version bought from a shop. Maybe they've since changed the times in an update. Gotta do it again since my son wiped my scores, so I guess I'll be finding out soon enough! In "C" class races you definately don't need them anyway. I do use a small amount of traction control with the GT LM II Test Car though in "S" Class and online - it's a beast to control without it.
